Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineer II in Cedar Rapids, IA to work on CAAS/Flight 2 Flight Management Solutions for Military Avionics. You will join a cross-functional team of engineers in an AGILE environment to design, develop, and test features for flight management systems used in military aircraft.

Requirements include a STEM degree and 2+ years in systems engineering, with proficiency in C, C++, Python and experience with DOORS/ADA preferred. Travel <10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 2+ years of experience in a Systems role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes.
• Grow knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
• Integrate leadership, communication and coordination into a fast-paced environment to deliver quality products.
• Travel (domestic and international <10%) as needed.
