Job summary

Encore is seeking a Sr. Technical Lead to oversee mid-tier AV operations during small and larger general sessions in a hotel/convention center setting in Washington, DC. You will bridge the gap between technical lead and specialist and report to an Operations Manager or DET.

You will operate high-end AV equipment, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding event experiences for clients and guests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field experience in specialty area is required.
• 2-3 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains advanced audiovisual equipment for events, including setup, operation and breakdown.
• Delivers excellent customer service and strengthens client relationships during events.
• Provides mentorship and coaching to technical, sales, and operations team members to develop skills.
• Supervises and guides other technicians during events and pre/post-event activities.
• Maintains equipment security, storage, and forecasting of needs.
