Job summary

Encore Global in the Washington, DC area seeks a Sr. Technical Lead to bridge the gap between technical lead and technician.

This mid-tier operator focuses on small general sessions and assists with larger general sessions, reporting to an Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or DET. Responsibilities include equipment operation, troubleshooting, customer service, staff mentoring, event supervision, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 2+ years field experience required.
2-3 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
External applicants must meet training/certification requirements within 60 days.
Internal applicants must meet Encore’s training and certification requirements.
Must be able to interact professionally with a diverse workforce and clients.
Valid driver’s license required for vehicle operation; ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Equipment Operation: set up, operate, and break down advanced AV equipment; troubleshoot issues.
Customer Service: deliver excellent service and maintain client relationships during events.
Training/Staff Development: mentor and coach technical and operations staff.
Event Supervision: supervise technicians during events and coordinate team efforts.
Equipment Maintenance: manage security, storage, transport, and inventory.
