Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Sr. Technical Lead to bridge the gap between technical lead and specialist, reporting to an Operations Manager or DIR.

The role involves supervising equipment operation for hotel/convention center events and ensuring flawless setup, operation and breakdown of advanced AV gear. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, delivering top-tier customer service, mentoring staff, and coordinating with teams pre-, during, and post-event.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred and relevant field experience.
• 2+ years of field experience in the specialty area required.
• 2-3 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• External applicants must meet training/certification requirements within 60 days.
• Internal applicants must meet Encores training/certification requirements via the Learning Program.
• A valid drivers license is required where vehicles are used; DOT rules may apply.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee AV equipment setup, operation, and breakdown for events.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure safety and security of equipment.
• Provide exceptional service and foster strong client relationships.
• Mentor and coach staff to develop technical and leadership skills.
• Supervise technicians during events and coordinate pre/during/post activities.
• Maintain inventory, security, storage, and transport of gear.
