Encore in a hotel/convention setting seeks a Technical Lead to oversee the setup and operation of AV systems, ensuring client satisfaction and seamless event execution. You will mentor technicians and coordinate with hotel staff to guarantee equipment performance.

The role emphasizes advanced troubleshooting, strong customer communication, and adherence to Encore processes. A valid driver’s license and 2–3+ years in AV are preferred for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 2-3+ years of audio-visual experience required.
• Internal/External training and certification requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for vehicle operations.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate AV equipment in hospitality settings.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
• Ensure equipment security and safety compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships.
• Lead and mentor other Technicians in Encore’s service philosophy.
• Interact with clients on site to ensure equipment works properly and needs are met.
• Understand and follow Encore processes and paperwork; assist with invoices as needed.
