Job summary

Amazon’s Reliability & Maintenance Engineering team seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and site throughput in our fulfillment centers. You will lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA networks, mentor junior engineers, and implement projects to optimize MHE such as conveyors and sortation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years PLC automation experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• 4+ years PLC automation and robotics work cells experience.
• 4+ years of Siemens/AB/Codesys ladder logic experience.
• 4+ years electrical theory and automated equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply SME to troubleshoot engineering issues and mitigate downtime.
• Collaborate with Operations, FC Start-up, software teams, and Safety for MHE optimization.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance to drive improvements.
• Provide escalation support during and after hours for repairs.
