Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and performance in fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, analyze metrics, and drive improvements across MHE systems, including conveyors, sorters, scanners, cameras, print/apply, and SCADA.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with state-of-the-art technology, and contribute to delivering orders with speed and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Automation or 2+ years PLC/automation experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends/nights/holidays.
• 2+ years PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis experience.
• 2+ years robotics work cells and control systems experience.
• 2+ years ladder logic and structured programming with Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Codesys PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automation systems critical for operations.
• Troubleshoot material handling control systems and networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance with maintenance/ops.
• Provide first-level escalation support to site technicians.
• Perform Building System Assessments to enhance performance.
