Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers. You will lead cross-functional teams to optimize MHE systems, troubleshoot complex controls, and mentor junior engineers, driving continuous improvement.

Based in Baton Rouge, LA, you will work with PLCs, SCADA, and various control networks on state-of-the-art conveyors and sortation systems to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment and a culture of safety and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years PLC automation experience.
• 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
• 4+ years of Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys Ladder Logic experience.
• Experience with electrical theory and automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Apply SME to troubleshoot engineering issues and mitigate downtime.
• Collaborate with Operations and software teams to optimize MHE systems.
• Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and provide analysis to improve performance.
• Provide escalation support during/after hours for hardware or software repairs.
• Move and lift up to 49 lbs and work shifts up to 12 hours.
