Job summary

Maher Duessel is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our firm in a role that supports most engagements with minimal supervision. You will direct staff, review work, and make key accounting and auditing decisions while maintaining strong client service.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with opportunities to work with government and non-profit clients, competitive compensation, and benefits. CPA strongly preferred and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or CPA-qualifying coursework
• Minimum of 2 years public accounting experience
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong MS Office skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to supervise and develop staff
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff on engagements; provide guidance and feedback
• Direct fieldwork daily and coordinate engagement phases
• Develop client relationships and monitor satisfaction
• Adapt audit approach to client environment
• Ensure timely completion of client deliverables and reports
• Identify operational improvements for clients
