Job summary

Maher Duessel is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our State College-area team. The role involves directing and reviewing staff, handling most engagements with limited supervision, and making decisions on accounting, tax, and auditing matters.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with light travel and opportunities to work on government and non-profit audits. The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree, at least 2 years of public accounting experience, and CPA is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or sufficient coursework to become licensed as a CPA
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
• Commitment to teamwork, leadership and client service
• Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff
• Integrity within the professional environment
• Willingness to travel and accommodate hours beyond the standard workday
• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Develop people through delegating tasks and guiding staff
• Provide performance feedback and evaluations
