Job summary

Maher Duessel is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our firm. Senior Auditors perform most engagements with minimal supervision and supervise staff auditors, making decisions on accounting, tax, and auditing matters.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or equivalent coursework to qualify as CPA
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably public accounting
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff
• Willingness to travel and adapt to client needs

Responsibilities

• Direct fieldwork daily; plan, coordinate, and supervise audit engagements
• Provide performance feedback and training for staff
• Develop and maintain client relationships and assess satisfaction
• Adapt audit approach to changing client environment
• Ensure timely delivery of client financial statements and reports
• Identify operational improvements for clients
• Begin reviewing staff workpapers for compliance with standards
