Job summary

Sorren in Colorado is seeking a senior leader to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the firm’s most complex assurance engagements, including audits, reviews, and agreed-upon procedures, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance.

You will serve as the firm’s technical authority on GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting, advise clients on standards changes, mentor senior managers, and help grow the practice while maintaining profitable engagement delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of assurance-related work experience.
• CPA license and CPA licensure.
• Authoritative expertise in U.S. GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB, and SEC regulations.
• Experience leading high‐risk assurance engagements and audits.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for planning, execution, and delivery of complex assurance engagements.
• Lead technical authority on GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting.
• Direct preparation of periodic financial statements for external reporting.
• Advise on accounting standards changes and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Oversee engagement budgets, profitability, and resource planning.
• Mentor senior managers and develop leadership within the practice.
• Drive firm-wide business development and client relationship growth.
• Ensure quality, risk management, and process improvement across engagements.
