Sorren is seeking a senior assurance leader to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the firm's most complex engagements. You will serve as the technical authority on GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting, guiding clients and internal teams toward high-quality results.

You will mentor senior managers, review major deliverables, and drive innovation, efficiency, and ethical leadership across the firm.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in assurance-related work.
• Authoritative expertise in U.S. GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB, and SEC regulations.
• Extensive experience leading high-profile and high-risk engagements.
• Mastery of assurance technologies and analytics platforms.
• Proven ability to mentor senior leaders and manage succession.
• Exceptional executive communication with C-suite and boards.
• Strategic advisory mindset aligning services with goals and risk.
• Strong financial and operational acumen with budgeting skills.
• Commitment to ethical leadership and quality-first culture.
• Full-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for planning, execution, and delivery of complex assurance engagements.
• Serve as the lead technical authority on GAAP/GAAS/PCAOB and SEC reporting.
• Direct and review preparation of periodic financial statements for external reporting.
• Advise leadership and clients on accounting trends and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee engagement strategies, budgets, and resource planning.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators; prepare materials for boards.
• Drive innovation, audit methodology, and adoption of new tools.
• Mentor and develop senior managers and foster accountability and leadership.
• Review major deliverables for clarity, compliance, and insight.
• Lead firm-wide business development and client relationship expansion.
• Promote firm values, diversity, and professional engagement.
