Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in San Francisco seeks a Senior Associate in Merger Integration & Carve-Outs to help portfolio companies realize value across deals. You will join A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement practice and work on end-to-end integration programs, from planning to Day 1 readiness and post-close execution.

The role requires 4–6+ years of consulting experience with merger integration, strong communication, and leadership skills. Travel up to 75% is common. An MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
• MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify client issues and develop recommendations within engagement context.
• Support IMO workstreams: Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 readiness, and more.
• Assist with Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvements.
• Drive assessments and help implement recommendations.
• Track Day 1/Day 100 progress and adjust strategies as needed.
