Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) seeks a Director of Merger Integrations and Carve-Outs to lead integration management and large, complex PE deals in the U.S. You will guide cross-functional teams across finance, HR, operations, and IT to deliver Day 1 readiness and post‑close integration.

This role emphasizes structured, strategic execution and rapid value realization. You will partner with clients on pre- and post-deal activities, drive governance, and develop scalable processes while traveling up to

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, divestitures, and related change initiatives.
• Experience leading one or more work streams in business transformation.
• Deep functional expertise across Finance, HR/Organizational design, Leadership, Communications and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues, determining needs, and supplementing standard assessment techniques with innovative approaches.
• Lead the entire Integration Management Office or a focus area such as Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, and Reporting.
• Deliver large, complex engagements that design and implement business and technology solutions for PE clients and their portfolio companies.
• Provide interim functional management as required.
• Lead Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvements across strategic planning, operations, back-office, and IT/CRM integration.
• Drive performance improvements, oversee implementation of recommendations, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Ensure quality of deliverables and manage client relationships to deliver exceptional outcomes.
• Participate in proposal development and business development activities.
• Lead smaller engagements or components of large engagements.
• Contribute to practice development with methodologies and public speaking.
• Coach and develop staff, assist in recruitment and retention, and support delivery teams in local offices.
