Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate for IT & Merger Integration to join our PEPI team in delivering large, complex engagements for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. You will lead IT diligence, integration planning, and carve‑out execution, driving ERP and back‑office improvements.

We seek a candidate with deep expertise in IT transformation, strong analytical and client‑facing writing skills, and willingness to travel 75% of the time. Bachelor’s degree required.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with a minimum of three years specializing in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Deep functional expertise in IT pre‑acquisition diligence, IT merger integration and carve‑out, and ERP transformation.
• Collaboration and leading change to improve key business functions such as supply chain and finance/accounting.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce polished client‑facing documents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large, complex client engagements for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.
• Perform pre‑acquisition IT diligence focusing on ERP, WMS, CRM, IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, SDLC, budget analysis, and organizational assessment.
• Lead merger‑integration and carve‑out execution.
• Plan Day‑1 and Day‑100 objectives, drive performance improvements in ERP, back office, supply chain, BI/reporting integration, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Manage day‑to‑day client relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
