Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a highly analytical, execution-focused Cost Optimization Analyst to drive cost improvement initiatives within the Commerce Platform. The role partners with Finance and works with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations to identify and execute opportunities that improve network efficiency and Dasher pay.

You will scope and prioritize initiatives, support tests, and roll out scalable cost changes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL and BI tools (Mode, Sigma, Tableau).
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting ability.
• Analytical rigor and resourcefulness in solving problems.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product & Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance on weekly Dasher cost performance and trends.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations to boost network efficiency and Dasher pay.
• Contribute to new ideas and assess impact of product-driven cost changes.
• Scope, size, and prioritize cost-improvement initiatives.
• Support operational tests to uncover high-impact levers for cost reduction.
• Roll out cost initiatives with Product and Engineering at scale.
