Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to help lead the shipboard Hotel Department for the 2026 season. You will supervise hotel staff, support the Hotel Manager, and ensure service standards across dining, housekeeping, and guest experiences.

The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, safety, and professional leadership aboard our US-flagged ships. A strong background in hospitality management and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years management experience at a full-service hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or Hotel & Restaurant Management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Available to travel and work a flexible schedule including long days for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping Manager and Guest Service Coordinator, under the Hotel Manager.
• Assist the Hotel Manager as directed.
• Assist the Dining Room Manager during all meal services.
• Perform duties of Hotel General Manager when the Hotel General Manager is off ship.
• Prepare with Hotel Manager for turnover and handoff of duties during time off.
• Be present during all meal services, front and back of house.
• Oversee bar operations and manage wine/liquor inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness in staterooms and public spaces; ensure housekeeping standards are followed.
