Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA-flagged cruise line, seeks an Assistant Hotel Manager to support the Hotel Manager aboard our ships for the 2026 season.

You will oversee hotel operations, supervise the Housekeeping Manager and Guest Service Coordinator, ensure service standards are met, and contribute to guest satisfaction and crew training on board. This role requires leadership, travel flexibility, and a commitment to safety and hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office required.
• Minimum 3 years management experience at a full-service hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Strong organizational and communication skills (English).
• Available to travel and work a flexible schedule.
• US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test and TWIC credential required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping Manager and Guest Service Coordinator at the direction of the Hotel Manager.
• Assist Hotel Manager as directed and support Dining Room Manager during meals.
• Perform duties of Hotel General Manager when Hotel General Manager is off ship 1–2 times per week.
• Ensure cleanliness of staterooms and public spaces and oversee stateroom inspections.
• Oversee bar operations and manage wine/liquor inventory.
• Holds officers and crew accountable to American Cruise Lines’ standards and compliance.
