Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA-flagged cruise line, seeks an Assistant Hotel Manager to join our shipboard team for the 2026 season. You will support the Hotel Manager to maintain service standards and guest satisfaction aboard our small-ship fleet.

Responsibilities include supervising the Housekeeping Manager and Guest Service Coordinator, assisting Dining Room operations, preparing turnover with the Hotel Manager, training crew, and ensuring cleanliness and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Military experience may be considered with hospitality experience.
• Minimum 3 years management experience in full-service hotel/resort/cruise.
• Strong organizational and communication skills (English).
• Travel availability and flexible schedule including long days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping Manager and Guest Service Coordinator.
• Assist Hotel Manager as directed.
• Assist Dining Room Manager during meals.
• Perform duties of Hotel General Manager when off ship.
• Prepare turnover with Hotel Manager for scheduled time off.
• Oversee bar operations and manage wine/liquor inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in crew and passenger areas.
• Monitor shipboard transactions and reporting.
• Lead crew training and discipline.
