Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Archaeologist to lead Phase I–III cultural resource surveys and support permitting for infrastructure projects across multiple states.

You will apply your academic knowledge and practical field experience to manage CRM projects and ensure compliance with state and federal standards. The role emphasizes report writing, coordination with agencies, data curation, and fieldwork up to 30% with travel up to 30%.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field (required).
• Master’s Degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to meet the Secretary of the Interior’s standards, 36 CFR, Part 61 (required).
• At least 7 years of experience in CRM (required).
• Experience with primary report authorship in a CRM context (required).
• Experience conducting Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III surveys (required).
• understanding of NHPA, Texas Antiquities Code, and NEPA (preferred).
• Experience preparing proposals for clients in private/public sectors (required).
• Ability to work independently for 40+ hours/week (required).
• Texas Antiquities Permit as Principal Investigator (required).
• Excellent writing and communication skills (required).

Mansioni

• Identify cultural resources to support environmental permitting of infrastructure projects.
• Prepare NEPA documents including EA and EIS.
• Provide primary report authorship in CRM context with QA/QC of field documents.
• Coordinate with state and federal agencies on historic resources.
• Data management and curation after field assessment.
• Conduct archaeological site inspections and monitoring, including deep testing.
• Assist in business development.
• Prepare technical documents and environmental permit applications.
