Job summary

Partner company is seeking a Senior Engineer (Applied AI/ML) in the United States for a remote role. You will blend hands-on AI engineering with technical leadership to turn business challenges into production-ready solutions, including agentic systems, retrieval solutions, and LLM-powered apps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering or product engineering.
• At least 1 year building and deploying generative AI/LLM apps in production.
• Proficient in Python and software design for real-time, interactive, and batch workloads.
• Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, streaming APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into actionable technical requirements.
• Hands-on agentic AI development and orchestration experience.
• Familiarity with Cursor, Codex, or OpenCode to structure requirements.
• Experience with embedding-based search, RAG, and retrieval patterns.
• Cloud platforms and containers (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong client-facing communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• AI discovery and opportunity assessment through client workshops and interviews.
• Prioritize use cases based on impact, feasibility, data readiness, ROI.
• Translate requirements into product specs, architectures, and metrics.
• Rapid prototypes and interactive demonstrations to validate ideas.
• Turn prototypes into secure, scalable production applications.
• Design agentic AI systems with tool calling and control loops.
• Deliver full-stack AI products with front-end, back-end, and cloud deployments.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and data integrations.
• Apply ML fundamentals to model selection and adaptation; fine-tuning when appropriate.
• Establish evaluation, observability, and production-quality safeguards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine solutions and show measurable outcomes.
