Job summary

7Seventy seeks a Senior Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and scale AI infrastructure powering our SaaS platform. You will shape AI architecture, model usage, and engineering practices while delivering production-grade AI features built on large language models.

You will lead scalable AI services, evaluate LLM outputs, and drive reliability and performance across our fintech/B2B SaaS products in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with backend or distributed systems.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Experience designing and building backend services or distributed systems.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI-enabled capabilities into production.
• Experience evaluating AI model performance in production systems.
• Strong systems design and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Include a brief description of one AI-powered feature you helped build.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AI services and infrastructure for AI-powered capabilities across the platform.
• Develop solutions to evaluate and improve quality of LLM outputs.
• Build frameworks and tooling to accelerate AI feature development.
• Maintain systems supporting model tuning, evaluation, and optimization.
• Contribute to deployment, reliability, and long-term AI service stability.
• Optimize AI services for latency, reliability, scalability, and cost.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate emerging AI tech and architecture.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers working on AI-powered features.
• Participate in architecture discussions about AI systems and platform evolution.
