Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead high-impact AI engineering initiatives. You will stay hands-on while guiding small teams through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations.

You will design, build, and maintain production-grade AI applications using LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval architectures, and AWS services. The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and delivering measurable business value in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend software engineering.
• Experience providing technical leadership for engineering projects or small teams.
• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and deploying production AI applications using LLMs or related tech.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, distributed systems, databases, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience designing agentic workflows, tool‑calling, structured outputs, or RAG architectures.
• Knowledge of production AI challenges: model reliability, latency, observability, and cost management.
• Commitment to automated testing, CI/CD, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead small engineering teams in designing, developing, and delivering complex AI initiatives.
• Own technical execution from architecture to deployment and operations.
• Translate product requirements into actionable technical strategies and milestones.
• Drive architectural discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and establish implementation approaches.
• Coordinate activities, manage dependencies, and remove blockers to ensure delivery.
• Contribute production code and collaborate with engineers to solve tough problems.
• Partner with Product, Engineering leadership, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable value.
