Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an AI Architect to serve as the senior technical owner for a named portfolio of customers, shaping each customer's AI strategy and guiding their journey from discovery through production value.

You will own the technical account plan across ChatGPT Enterprise, the OpenAI API, Codex, and other agentic AI solutions, translating business priorities into a focused use-case portfolio and adoption roadmap.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, solutions engineering, or technical account leadership.
• Experience guiding enterprise organizations from technical evaluation through production adoption and measurable business impact.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical and business leaders as well as hands-on engineers.
• Strong foundations in software and cloud architecture including APIs, distributed systems, data integration, identity, security and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and long‑term technical relationship owner for a named portfolio of existing customers and pre‑sales prospects.
• Own the technical account plan, milestones, adoption priorities, and expansion opportunities with the Account Director.
• Lead executive and technical discovery to identify and prioritize use cases tied to business outcomes.
• Develop clear Applied AI Architectures spanning models, applications, data, integration, security, governance, evaluation, and deployment.
• Guide customers through evaluations, workshops, prototypes, and proofs of value toward production deployment.
• Maintain a focused use‑case portfolio with clear ownership, blockers, success measures, and adoption plans.
• Develop trusted relationships across CTOs, CIOs, CISOs, AI leaders, and engineering teams.
• Qualify and coordinate support from Deployment Engineering, enablement, product and domain specialists, partners, and other teams.
