Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Engineer - Application Support in Charlotte, NC to support payments processing platforms and ensure high availability. The role requires strong troubleshooting, analytical skills, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have IBM MQ, Connect Direct, and SFTP experience, with a commitment to operational excellence and 24x7 support. This is a full-time on-site opportunity with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience providing application support in a fast-paced, high-availability production environment.
Experience supporting payment systems, transaction processing platforms, and operational workflows.
Experience handling system incidents, payment investigations, technical escalations, and support activities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and technical teams.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Availability to participate in a 24x7x365 support model.

Responsibilities

Provide 24x7x365 support for payments processing applications.
Monitor, triage, log, analyze, and resolve incidents.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and escalate to third-level support as needed.
Maintain platform stability and operational excellence.
Lead the team in the absence of the manager.
