Job summary

The Clearing House is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to maintain and support payments processing applications and platforms. This role focuses on monitoring, incident triage, and resolution of issues across Windows and Linux environments, with emphasis on IBM MQ, Connect Direct, and SFTP integrations.

You will join a 24x7x365 operational team responsible for service reliability and platform stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for high-availability production environments.
• Experience supporting payment systems and transaction processing platforms.
• Experience handling incidents, escalations, and support activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication; professional interaction with customers and teams.
• Ability to work independently and lead in manager's absence.
• Technical expertise on Windows and Linux, networks, IBM MQ, Connect Direct, and SFTP.
• Willingness to participate in 24x7x365 support.

Responsibilities

• Train co-workers and support teams for daily operations.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve tasks and services.
• Oversee incident triage and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
• Support projects and VHIPS related to technical support matters.
• Manage changes and releases, including weekend maintenance windows.
• Coordinate and participate in Disaster Recovery exercises.
• Develop and potentially assume the role of Problem Manager.
• Ensure incidents with escalations are addressed promptly.
• Assist on various TCH and Operations projects.
