Job summary

RTX's Effector Analog & Power (EAP) team in Tucson, AZ is seeking senior engineers to design robust power, analog, and motor-control systems for mission-critical applications.

You will lead large teams from concept through integration, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure performance, reliability, and safety. A DoD Secret clearance is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience or Advanced STEM degree with 5 years.
• Experience with linear converters (buck, boost, buck-boost) and isolated topologies (flyback, half/ full-bridge, forward, push-pull, resonant).
• Experience with EMI filter design and transformer/inductor design in power circuits.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/MathCAD/Mathematica or similar tools.
• Ability to create electrical design specifications including requirements definitions.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power/analog circuitry. Focus on non-isolated and isolated converters.
• Lead circuit card development from requirements to integration testing & schedule.
• Guide ECAD drafters and junior engineers on layout, routing, and creepage/clearance.
• Lead large teams with budget, schedules, and technical execution.
• Foster technical growth and capture opportunities to mature the organization.
