Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, seeks senior engineers with strong electronics background to design power, analog, and motor-control systems for defense applications. You will lead development from concept through integration, coordinating with ECAD and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes non-isolated and isolated converter topologies, extensive simulation, and hands-on testing, with a clear path to leadership and schedule ownership. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years of experience or an advanced STEM degree.
Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
Experience with analog or digital electronics design (FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters, termination, comparators).

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry.
Lead circuit card development from requirements definition through integration testing.
Lead small teams with schedule, budget, and technical execution.
Drive to meet schedule concerns and define circuit-level tasking.
Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing, with stack-up definition support.
