Job summary

RTX, in Tucson, AZ, seeks senior engineers to design and optimize power, analog, and motor control electronics for DoD-grade systems. Candidates must have STEM degrees and extensive experience with both non-isolated and isolated converters, EMI considerations, and power stage design.

Lead cross-functional teams, guide layout and tests, and contribute to advancing the Effector Analog & Power (EAP) products from concept to integration in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced STEM degree with 5 years.
• Experience with linear converters (buck/boost) and isolated topologies (flyback/full-bridge/etc.).
• Experience with EMI filter design and power electronics testing.
• Experience with transformer/inductor design and electrical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test and document power conversion and related analog circuitry.
• Lead large teams, manage schedules and system-level tasks for designs.
• Guide ECAD drafters and junior engineers on layout and creepage/clearance.
• Drive technical growth and capture opportunities to mature the organization.
