Job summary

RTX is seeking senior electrical engineers for the Effector Analog & Power (EAP) team in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on power, analog, and motor-control systems for telemetry and flight termination products, operating with voltages and power levels under 10kW.

This is an on-site position requiring active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. You will design and validate power conversion circuitry, guide teams, and contribute to system-level tasks from concept through integration,

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with linear converters and non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Design, analysis, and simulation experience with isolated converter topologies: flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, forward, push-pull, resonant.
• Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools.
• Experience with EMI Filter design, analysis, test, and/or simulation considerations in power electronics circuits.
• Experience with transformer or inductor design, analysis, test, and/or simulation considerations in power electronics circuits.
• Experience utilizing, and creating, electrical design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry.
• Lead circuit card and stack development through requirements to integration testing.
• Guide ECAD drafters and junior engineers on layout and routing; define layer stackups.
