Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking senior level engineers with electronics expertise to design robust power, analog, or motor control systems for Telemetry and Flight Termination products.

This onsite role requires DoD Secret clearance, a STEM degree and extensive power electronics experience; you will lead large teams, define schedules, and mentor junior engineers while advancing the department's capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 8 years of relevant experience or Advanced STEM degree with 5 years.
• Experience with linear converters and non-isolated buck/boost topologies.
• Experience with isolated topologies: flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, forward, push-pull, resonant.
• Experience with EMI filter design and power-electronics simulation.
• Experience with transformer/inductor design and electrical design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry (non-isolated & isolated).
• Lead circuit card and stack development from requirements to integration testing; manage large teams.
• Guide ECAD drafters; define layer stackups; ensure creepage/clearance.
• Lead large teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution.
• Foster technical growth and capture opportunities to mature the organization technically.
