Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks senior engineers to design and validate power, analog, and motor-control systems for Telemetry and Flight Termination products. You will lead small teams, manage schedules, and drive circuit card development from requirements to integration testing.

The role emphasizes non-isolated and isolated switch-mode converters, with strong focus on board-level power end-use applications and collaboration with ECAD staff.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced STEM degree.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Experience with analog or digital electronics design including FETs/JFETs, op-amps, filters, and clock/data termination.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry.
• Lead small teams to manage schedule, budget, and technical execution.
• Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities and assist in layer stack up definition.
• Define schedules for circuit-level tasks and support layout reviews.
