Job summary

Zendesk seeks a Senior Sales Engineer to join our specialized engineering presales team. You will write code, configure complex API integrations, and build production-ready POCs that demonstrate Zendesk’s platform and AI capabilities.

You will own technical validation, collaborate with account teams, and help scale internal tooling while continuously learning about LLMs and autonomous agent frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative technical discipline or related field.
• 2–4 years in a technical client-facing role or hands-on software development with pivot into field role.
• Strong knowledge of modern web tech stacks and APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Interest in AI, LLMs, prompt engineering and autonomous software workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and tailored prototypes demonstrating Zendesk platform and AI capabilities.
• Build and maintain API integrations connecting Zendesk to client tech stacks using REST APIs, webhooks, and cloud infra.
• Lead deep technical validations with account teams and complete security/architecture reviews.
• Scale internal tooling by creating reusable code snippets and demo accelerators.
• Stay current with AI trends and large language models to enhance solutions.
