Job summary

Zendesk seeks a Senior Sales Engineer to join our engineering presales team. You will write code, configure complex API integrations, and build production-ready POCs that showcase our AI-enabled platform to customers.

You will partner with account teams for deep technical validations, contribute to reusable tooling, and stay at the cutting edge of AI technologies. A hybrid travel schedule of 20–30% is expected as you meet clients and validate solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2–4 years in a technical client-facing role or hands-on software development pivoting to a field role.
• Strong programming and web technologies experience (JavaScript, Python, Node.js) and working with REST/SOAP APIs.
• Curiosity about AI technologies, LLMs, and autonomous software workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and tailored prototypes to demonstrate Zendesk platform and AI capabilities.
• Build and maintain API integrations to connect Zendesk with client tech stacks using REST APIs, webhooks, and cloud infrastructure.
• Own technical validation with account teams and support security/architecture reviews.
• Scale internal tooling with reusable code, demo accelerators, and automation templates.
• Pursue continuous learning in AI trends, LLMs, and autonomous agent frameworks.
