Job summary

Zendesk seeks a Senior Sales Engineer to join our presales team. You will own technical demonstrations, develop production-ready POCs, and connect Zendesk to complex client tech stacks using REST APIs and webhooks.

You’ll collaborate with account teams on technical validations, security reviews, and develop reusable demos while staying current with AI trends, LLMs, and automation. Travel ~30% and hybrid office schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, analytics, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years in a technical client-facing role or as a hands-on software developer.
• Strong experience with modern web tech and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Interest in AI, LLMs, and autonomous software workflows.
• Willingness to travel ~30% annually.

Responsibilities

• Develop POCs and customized demos to prove platform and AI capabilities.
• Build and maintain API integrations with client tech stacks.
• Lead technical validations and security/architecture reviews.
• Scale internal tooling with reusable code and automation templates.
• Continuously learn about LLMs, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks.
