Job summary

AWS Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) embeds AI engineers inside strategic enterprise customers to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems. We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to embed with FDE delivery teams and own the security posture of production AI systems deployed in customer environments.

You conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and build security automation while ensuring every FDE-delivered system meets AWS and customer security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security frameworks, IAM, incident response and cloud security.
• Experience identifying security issues and developing mitigation plans.
• 4+ years of scripting/programming and security code review.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews, threat modeling and architecture assessments for production AI systems.
• Embed with delivery teams to assess security posture in customer environments.
• Build security automation and reusable accelerators for forward-deployed AI systems.
• Implement controls for AI threats: prompt injection, data isolation, model hardening.
• Integrate security into CI/CD gates, secrets management and dependency scanning.
• Triage and respond to production incidents with monitoring for AI signals.
• Document solutions as reusable patterns, playbooks and architectural guidance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
