AWS Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) seeks a Security Engineer to embed within strategic enterprise customers, securing production AI systems. You will review designs, build tooling, and implement controls across AI pipelines, with hands-on coding and threat modeling responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of threat modeling, secure coding, or related security experience.
• 2+ years troubleshooting systems, logs, or automating basic tasks using command line tools.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 2+ years security code review and building AI/agentic systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments for production AI systems.
• Perform threat modeling and penetration testing for AI/ML apps in customer environments.
• Build and maintain security automation: scanning tools, CI/CD gates, guardrail tests.
• Implement security controls for AI threats: prompt injection, data isolation, model API hardening.
• Support security incident response and remediation under guidance from senior engineers.
• Document findings; create reusable playbooks and runbooks for future engagements.
• Contribute to the security accelerator library with templates and configurations.
• Requires up to 25% travel.
