Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Forward Deployed Engineering seeks a Senior Security Engineer to embed with delivery teams and own the security posture of production AI systems deployed with customers.

You will conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and build automation to ensure every FDE-delivered system meets AWS and customer security standards. Expect to ship fixes and reusable security patterns at customer pace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security frameworks, IAM, incident response, cloud security, AI security, threat intel, and pentesting.
• 5+ years identifying security issues and designing mitigations.
• 4+ years scripting, programming, and security code review in common languages.
• Knowledge of two or more: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Experience with threat modeling and penetration testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews and architecture assessments for production AI systems.
• Embed with FDE delivery teams to assess infrastructure security and implement controls.
• Build security automation and reusable accelerators for forward-deployed AI systems.
• Implement AI-specific threat controls: prompt injection, data isolation, model endpoint hardening.
• Integrate CI/CD security gates, secrets management, dependency scanning, container security.
• Triage and respond to production AI security incidents and build monitoring.
• Document solutions as reusable patterns and playbooks.
• Travel up to 25%.
