Job summary

AWS Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) seeks a Senior Security Engineer to embed with delivery teams and own security for production AI systems deployed at customer sites. You’ll conduct threat modeling, reviews, and automation to move security into production with velocity.

You will secure AI/ML pipelines end-to-end, build reusable security tooling, and operate with a production mindset from day one. This role requires US citizenship and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security, IAM, incident response, mobile security.
• 4+ years scripting and security code review in common languages.
• Knowledge of at least two languages: Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Experience with threat modeling and penetration testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews, threat modeling, and architecture assessments for production AI systems.
• Embed with FDE teams; assess posture, identify gaps, implement controls.
• Build security automation and tooling for forward-deployed AI systems.
• Implement controls for AI threats: prompt injection, model endpoint hardening.
• Integrate security into FDE workflows: CI/CD gates, secrets mgmt, scanning.
• Triage and respond to production AI security incidents; monitor signals.
• Document solutions as reusable patterns and playbooks.
• Up to 25% travel.
