Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for the AI Platform Engineering group to drive the infrastructure and cloud-native platform that powers EY’s AI-native platform. This player-coach role demands hands-on design and delivery across bare-metal, GPU, Kubernetes, multi-tenancy, and secure inference.

You will lead a team of AI Infrastructure and AI Systems Engineers, set a phased roadmap, and ensure portability and reliability across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Proven track record owning a platform or infrastructure roadmap end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2/EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and AI inference serving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team: set priorities, mentor engineers, and maintain engineering standards.
• Build hands-on as a senior IC: design, implement, and debug core platform components like cluster bring-up and multi-tenancy.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap and report progress to leadership.
• Own the infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform: Kubernetes, scheduling, and multi- tenancy at scale.
• Stand up and operate EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing with tools like Ray Serve, vLLM, Triton, and Envoy AI Gateway.
• Own operational excellence, resilience, and platform delivery including incident reviews and DR planning.
• Manage GPU capacity, platform economics, and vendor selection with a focus on cost efficiency.
