Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for our AI Platform Engineering group. You will direct the AI Infrastructure and AI Systems Engineers, set roadmaps, and personally design and troubleshoot critical platform components across cloud, on-prem, and edge targets.

You will lead as a player-coach, ensuring reliability, portability, and security in regulated client contexts while delivering scalable, multi-tenant infrastructure for EY’s AI runtimes and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Track record owning a platform or infrastructure roadmap end-to-end, from requirements to delivery and operations.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS/AKS/GKE, K3s) and production lifecycle management.
• Deep experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid, on-prem, and ideally air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong grounding in cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Hands-on experience with GPU infrastructure and AI inference serving (NVAIE, Triton, Ray Serve).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane).
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and cross-environment replication; incident leadership.
• Experience managing infrastructure budgets, capacity plans, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team: direct the day-to-day and longer-term work, hire, mentor, and coach engineers, set standards, and grow leadership.
• Build hands-on as a senior individual contributor: design, implement, and debug the hardest platform components like cluster bring-up and multi-tenancy.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap: sequence builds in phases, define gates, and report progress and risks to senior leadership.
• Own the infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform: from Ubuntu/bare-metal to Kubernetes, multi-tenancy, and production-ready substrate.
• Stand up and operate EY Agentic AI environments: across cloud, on-prem, edge, client-managed, and air-gapped deployments with a common stack.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing: manage Ray Serve, vLLM/NIM/Triton, NVIDIA Dynamo, and Envoy AI Gateway.
• Own operational excellence, resilience, and platform delivery: define SLOs, on-call, DR, patching, and CI/CD integration.
• Own GPU capacity, platform economics, and vendor selection: forecast demand, set quotas, and manage budgets.
