Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska seeks an experienced AI Platform Engineer to scale an enterprise AI platform. You will partner with business and tech teams to deploy reliable AI-enabled solutions, shape future-state workflows, and establish governance for scalable adoption.

The role requires deep Python expertise, 2–3 years in ML/LLM operations, and hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, monitoring, and container apps. Hybrid work includes one in‑office day in Omaha.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4–7 years in software engineering.
• Experience operating LLM-based systems in production, not demos, with reliability.
• 2–3 years in ML/LLM operations, MLOps, or AI platform engineering with production users.
• Built evaluation frameworks defining correct behavior for LLMs and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Operate and scale an enterprise AI platform with reliability.
• Identify opportunities and shape AI-enabled solutions across business units.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to translate challenges into agent-enabled workflows.
• Define success criteria, track KPIs, and ensure governance and compliance across the platform.
