Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to scale AI-enabled solutions across the enterprise. You will bridge business objectives with technical implementations, ensuring reliable AI operations and measurable impact.

You will collaborate with leaders across Medical Management, Claims, Customer Service, and IT to design future-state workflows, implement agent-based solutions, and drive adoption of scalable AI capabilities in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of software engineering experience.
• 2-3 years in ML/LLM operations, MLOps, or AI platform engineering with production systems.
• Built evaluation frameworks with clear metrics and CI/CD integration.
• Strong observability experience including distributed tracing and custom metrics.
• Production ML pipeline experience including model versioning and canary rollouts.
• Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, insurance, fintech).
• Strong Python skills and ability to work in a shared codebase.
• Familiarity with Azure ecosystem and Azure OpenAI stack.
