Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is seeking a senior AI Platform Engineer to bridge business value and AI capabilities. You will partner with business and tech teams to shape AI-enabled solutions, define requirements, and guide initiatives from concept through deployment and adoption.

You will design future-state workflows, measure outcomes, and drive adoption at scale while ensuring governance, security and cost effectiveness across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating LLM-based systems in production with CI/CD integration.
• Strong Python skills and cloud-native AI infra familiarity.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI stack and observability tooling.
• Ability to design scalable AI-enabled solutions and measure business impact.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities across departments and build a roadmap of agent initiatives.
• Design future-state workflows and automate/manual steps with AI agents.
• Bridge business requirements with technical teams and guide deployments.
• Drive change management, adoption, and stakeholder alignment.
• Establish KPIs, monitor outcomes, and optimize deployed solutions.
• Contribute to enterprise AI governance and scaling initiatives.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to steer AI strategy.
