Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield seeks a senior technical contributor to build and operate Apollo, its governed AI foundation for enterprise AI adoption. You will design and run core platform capabilities, govern access, and orchestrate agents and runtimes, partnering across teams to ensure secure, scalable AI.

You will guide engineers, promote best practices in testing, CI/CD, and reusable SDKs, while advancing cost management and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field and at least 2 years of software development experience or 6 years of related experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to propose innovative solutions.
• Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and delivering reliable software.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core AI platform capabilities including governance, model routing, prompt management, and agent orchestration.
• Guide engineers through complex challenges and promote CI/CD practices, reusable SDKs, and IaC templates.
• Strengthen platform reliability, security, auditability, and operational excellence across teams adopting AI solutions.
• Collaborate with product, security, data governance, and cloud teams to ensure compliant, scalable AI adoption.
