Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking an AI Engineer IV to lead AI/ML initiatives, architect scalable AI systems, and mentor engineers. You will design data pipelines, deploy models, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business value while upholding governance and bias mitigation.

The role emphasizes leadership in AI strategy, prototyping, and production-ready deployment within a remote work environment, with strong emphasis on agile practices and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI/ML development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Deep learning with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and monitoring systems.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience implementing ethical AI practices and bias mitigation.
• Experience leading prompt engineering and AI-related roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and develop comprehensive AI systems and frameworks.
• Lead prototypes and MVPs to validate AI/ML solutions.
• Assist in designing and implementing cloud architecture for large AI systems.
• Build robust data pipelines to support large AI systems.
• Develop low latency APIs/services to deploy AI models.
