Premera Blue Cross is seeking an AI Engineer IV to lead the development of AI/ML systems from conception to production. You will mentor engineers, design scalable data pipelines, and implement ethical AI practices while aligning with enterprise AI strategies.

The role emphasizes hands-on model deployment, architecture design, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote work setting, supporting the organization’s health-tech initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or 2+ years in a related IT/analytics role.
• Minimum of 5 years developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML systems.
• At least 6 years of experience with deep learning models (TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLX, JAX, etc.).
• 3+ years in ethical AI, explainable AI, fairness, and bias mitigation.
• 3+ years implementing advanced prompts techniques (Retrieval Augmented Generation, Tree of Thoughts, Multimodal CoT).
• 4+ years productionizing AI models with scalable data pipelines and monitoring.

Responsabilités

• Recommend and develop frameworks for AI applications and products.
• Lead prototyping of AI solutions to validate concepts before large-scale resources.
• Design cloud architecture for large AI systems and robust data pipelines.
• Develop low-latency APIs and services to deploy AI models.
• Monitor AI systems for reliability and performance.
• Guide AI engineers on best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on enterprise AI strategies and roadmaps.
• Provide thought leadership to the Premera AI community.
