Premera Blue Cross is seeking an AI Engineer IV to lead and deliver enterprise AI/ML solutions. You will guide solutioning, prototype new AI products, and mentor engineers while ensuring scalable, ethical AI practices.

The role focuses on deploying robust AI infrastructure and collaborating across teams in a remote work setting. Responsibilities include building data pipelines, cloud architecture, and low-latency APIs, with strong emphasis on governance and explainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years building, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML systems.
• Experience deploying ML models with scalable data pipelines.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and guide best practices.
• Strong software engineering skills and secure, scalable systems.
• Knowledge of ethical AI, explainability, fairness and bias mitigation.
• Experience in agile-like team environments and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead ideation and prototyping of AI/ML products from concept to production.
• Design and implement cloud architecture for large AI systems.
• Build robust data pipelines supporting end-to-end ML workflows.
• Develop low-latency APIs to deploy AI models in applications.
• Monitor AI systems and model performance with reliable dashboards.
• Provide mentoring and establish best practices for AI engineering teams.
