Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking an AI Engineer IV to lead AI/ML initiatives from concept to production. You will guide ideation, prototype new AI products, and scale ML systems. The role emphasizes ethical AI, governance, and collaboration across agile teams.

You will mentor engineers, design robust data pipelines, and build low-latency APIs to embed AI models into applications. This remote role offers broad impact across healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years in IT/analytics position.
• 5+ years in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML systems.
• 6+ years developing deep learning models with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience with ethical AI, explainable AI, fairness, bias mitigation.
• Experience productionizing AI models and building scalable data pipelines.
• Strong Agile-like teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML solutioning from conception to production.
• Mentor junior AI engineers and guide best practices.
• Design and implement data pipelines for large AI systems.
• Develop low-latency APIs and services for AI deployments.
• Prototype and validate AI concepts via MVPs and prototypes.
• Ensure AI governance, data quality, and documentation.
